ARP Act Reporting

  1.  Tri-State Cosmetology Institute signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

  2. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute received $101,966 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

  3. The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs as of 9/02/2021 was $101,966.02.

  4. The total number of students at Tri-State Cosmetology Institute that were eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs was 95.

  5. The total number of students who received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs is 95.

  6. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute distributed Emergency Financial Aid Grants to all eligible students with priority given to students who demonstrated financial need. Pell eligible students received Emergency Financial Aid Grants in the amount of $1172.42 while eligible students who were not Pell eligible received $500 under the ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

CRRSAA Act Reporting

  1. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution has used the applicable amount of funds designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

  2. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute received $174,938 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

  3. The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs as of 3/11/2021 was $174,938.53.

  4. The total number of students at Tri-State Cosmetology Institute that were eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs was 101.

  5. The total number of students who received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs is 101.

  6. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute distributed Emergency Financial Aid Grants to all eligible students with priority given to students who demonstrated financial need. Pell eligible students received Emergency Financial Aid Grants in the amount of $1830.77 while eligible students who were not Pell eligible received $1000 under the CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.

CARES Act Reporting

  1. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

  2. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute received $161,275.00 from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students on 5/15/2020.

  3. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute has disbursed $161,275.80 in the form of Emergency Financial Aid Grant checks distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 5/19/2020.

  4. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute has 114 students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

  5. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute has issued and mailed checks to all 114 students eligible to receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

  6. Tri-State Cosmetology Institute took the total student allocation and divided it equally amongst the eligible students and rounded up to the nearest penny. This resulted in Emergency Financial Aid Grants of $1414.70 per student under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

Tri-State Cosmetology Institute sent acknowledgements to all eligible students for signature that included instructions, directions, and guidance concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants and their intended use as expressed by the Department of Education.  The acknowledgement form is shown here.
